Translating nature’s strategies into design

Specially designed wings and wingtips of the TinyTail Mini allow slight angle to the air current to maximize lift and counter the effects of gravity, the perfect aerodynamic flight response. TinyTail Mini offers an extreme wing area along with carefully designed reflexed wings and wingtips to increase the area of laminar flow on the wing surface and minimize drag for smooth and long extended glides.
Wing-washout is a twist built into the wing so that the wing tip is at a lower angle of attack than the wing root in return creating that perfect laminar flow and avoiding wingtip stalls.

TinyTail Mini as the name suggests, has a very small lightweight and aerodynamic tail design reducing drag for optimal glide ratio. With a gentle push throw, the TinyTail has the ability to glide effortlessly for many many yards. With the included rubber band bungee launcher, the Tiny Tail mini can travel an entire football field and with a proper trim, return back to you.

It is easy to assume that building model airplanes is a difficult task but, in reality model airplanes are fairly simple to build especially with our step-by-step video build guide. Building requires just a few simple materials ( sand paper, glue, pliers and penitence ),  and if you give it a few hours you could become an expert at building hand launch or RC airplanes.

Tiny Tail Mini variants

Your Tiny Tail Mini can be built in two different variants. Light weight and  slightly heavier version. Both version offer differently gliding characteristics. Heavy TTM will launch higher and travel long distances, optimal for big parks and open fields with no surrounding trees . Light weight TTM will travel shorter distances with a more gentle glide and will occasionally catch thermal lift traveling very far and high gliding very slow.

Heavy version of the TTM can be flown with head wind up to 5mph or more, light weight TTM should be flown on an absolute calm day with zero head wind.

Heavy version of the TTM will have a stronger structural fuselage and can withstand nose in crashes. Light weight TTM has a lighter weight fuselage with no bass wood supports, crashes might not be as forgiving but a little thin CA can be used to fix any cracks or crashes. Don’t worry, your Tiny Tail Mini comes with an extra fuselage for replacement.

You are the controller ( pilot ), how much you pull the catapult rubber band will determine how long and far your TTM will travel. You may even hand launch your TTM in your backyard to experience that perfect beautiful glide.
