Micro Stingray —  Tiny. Tough. Terrifyingly Fast.

Small Frame. Big Sting.
The Micro Stingray redefines micro RC flight with an ultra-compact delta flying wing that punches well above its size. Inspired by the streamlined shape of a stingray’s wings — sleek, efficient, and optimized for speed and stability — the Micro Stingray delivers exhilarating performance in an astonishingly small package.

At only 12 inches (305 mm) wingspan and a feather-light 22 grams ready-to-fly weight, this is the world’s smallest radio-controlled flying wing rc airplane. Every detail has been engineered for remarkable speed, stability, and control — all from a tiny brushless power system and expertly designed wing platform.

Design Philosophy — Form Meets Function

The Micro Stingray embodies elegant aerodynamics with a high-efficiency delta wing profile, promoting both speed and stability in flight. The unique airfoil and wing geometry are optimized to generate lift and maintain clean airflow across the surface, even at high speeds for something this small. Low weight combined with intelligent design results in a remarkably responsive and fun-to-fly experience.

Virtually Indestructible — Crash-Proof by Design

Thanks to its ultra-light weight, flexible materials, and compact size, the Micro Stingray RC airplane is virtually indestructible. At just 22 grams, impacts that would destroy larger radio control airplanes simply bounce off. Crashes become non-events. You can fly this radio control airplane aggressively, experiment with speed runs, and recover from crashes without fear — the Micro Stingray is built to survive.

Easy Build — Great for All Pilots

Putting together the Micro Stingray is an enjoyable learning experience with our step-by-step video build guide. Whether you’re a newcomer curious about RC flight or a seasoned builder seeking your next micro project, the guided assembly approach makes the process smooth and rewarding. You’ll see your Micro Stingray come together piece by piece, gaining confidence as you work toward your first take-off.

Wing covering method

We recommend covering the top of the wing with the provided lamination film, this will strengthen the over all structure of the wings, although you may omit the covering and just fly your stingray without covering film.

To cover your wings, a heat iron can be used. Mini heat irons work best with variable heat adjustment. Few brand names to choose from that may be purchased from ebay or amazon are: Clover Mini iron ii, Mini plancha para patch, Mini-Bügeleisen MB-3415, Ming Yang sealing tool Large heat iron/sealing iron will work as well, make sure to use low heat. Both irons must have cloth sock on head to prevent iron from sticking to lamination film. Regular cotton sock can be used. Instructions and videos can be found on the build page of the micro stingray.

Flight Performance — Speed & Stability Packed Small

Despite its pocketable dimensions, the Micro Stingray doesn’t compromise on performance:

  • Speed-oriented delta wing design ensures agile responsiveness and dynamic flight.

  • Lightweight construction paired with efficient aerodynamics gives excellent thrust-to-weight performance.

  • Stable handling even in gentle wind conditions makes it fun to fly in parks, fields, and open spaces.

Once airborne, you’ll appreciate how such a tiny aircraft performs — fast, smooth, and reliably stable — surprising behavior that defies its diminutive size.

If you believe Horizon Hobby airplanes are fast and enjoyable, you have yet to experience the next level of performance and durability. The micro Stingray is constructed using premium XPS foam, a material engineered for exceptional strength and resilience.

Unlike Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam commonly used in many models from horizon hobby, which fracture under relatively minor impact, our high-density XPS foam is specifically selected for its superior durability. It is lightweight yet extremely robust, capable of withstanding multiple impacts while maintaining its structural integrity.
